Raymond Szopinski Obituary

Went home March 10, 2005. Age 82 years. Beloved husband of Rose (nee Gazzana). Dear father of Angela (Joe) Bubernak, Ed (Carol Justin), Barbara and Michael (Rose). Loving grandpa of Aaron, Emily, Lynn, Nora, Rita and Daniel. Brother of Sr. Angela Szopinski SSND and Ed (Bernadine). Further survived by nieces , nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Angeline and a sister Ruth Thurber. Visitation Monday March 14, 2005 AT THE FUNERAL HOME from 4PM until the time of Vigil Service 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday March 15, at 10AM at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST, 8500 W. Cold Spring Rd. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Entombment to follow, Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials to The American Heart Association appreciated. Ray was a member of the Italian Community Center, the Pompeii Men's Club, The Holy Crucifix Society, Solomon Juneau and a retiree of the U.S. Postal Service.

It was easy for all to see that Ray was a very loving husband, proud father and grandfather. He will be missed dearly for the remainder of our time, but we'll see him again some day in heaven.
