1933 - 2016

Jensen, Richard I. Passed away after a short bout with cancer on November 20th at the age of 83. Loving husband of Kathleen (nee Gill) for 59 years. Beloved father to Scott (Julie) Jensen, Julie (Gary) Schwartz, Kelly Jensen, and Rick (Jacquie) Jensen. Proud grandfather to Ellen (Adam), Kevin, Parker, Alex, Tess, Taylor, Morgan, Madison, Brooks, Nick and Lauren. Also, survived by dear sister Judy (Jerry) Modjeska and many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his parents and sisters Janice, June and Marilyn. He was born in Waupaca County, WI on July 7, 1933. He graduated from Mukwonago High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. He received a Bachelors Degree from UW-LaCrosse. Richard loved all sports especially his Packers, Badgers, Brewers, Marquette and his hometown Mukwonago Indians. He was an avid golfer, bowler and card player. You knew he was in the stands when his children and grandchildren competed. He actively managed Universal Electronics as owner and President into his eighties. He was both deeply indebted and devoted to his hometown. He was a huge fan of Mukwonago Athletics. He practiced his faith at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church for 75 years. A Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM and a reception after the service. The family requests that any donations be made to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
