Richard Mansfield Obituary

Richard Mansfield (89) passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 20th surrounded by family. Dick was welcomed to heaven by his loving wife, Loretta (87), who found eternal life on March 15, 2020. Dick and Loretta met while students at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and were married on December 18, 1954. During their 65 years of marriage, the couple found much happiness with their family and friends, as educators in the Milwaukee Public Schools, and through many years of devoted service to the United Methodist Church. The Mansfield's family includes their daughters, Ruth (Bill) Mahnke and Gayle (Steve) Blyth, 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Richard is survived by his sister Helen (Sherman) Anderson and Loretta is survived by her sisters Marilyn (Russell) Schulz and Dorothy Degnitz.

Family and friends are invited to join a Celebration of Life for Richard and Loretta on Friday, July 23rd at the First United Methodist Church located at 7520 W. Lapham Street, West Allis, WI 53214. A time of visitation, welcome, and remembrance will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Due to social distancing restrictions, a private funeral service will follow.

If desired, memorials may be made to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission: 830 N. 19th St., Milwaukee, WI 53233.
