Richard Marek Obituary

Marek, Richard S. Of Franklin. Age 86. Finished his route and entered Eternal Life on Sunday, February 1, 2009. Beloved husband of 62 years to Pauline (nee Steinbaugh). Dad of Don (Chris), Pat (Nancy), Mary (Mike) Johnson, Bob (Diane), Chuck (Joan), Barb (Mark) Hanneman and Therese (Joe) Kern. Also loved by 16 grandchildren, one sister, Ruth Bahr, other relatives and special friends. Richard was a D.A.V. who served during WWII in the 5th Armored Division as a medic and was also a member of Carpenters Local #344. Visitation at the Funeral Home Sunday, February 8, 2009, 4-8 PM with a Vigil Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral Service Monday 9:30 AM from the funeral home to St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (7963 South 116th Street), for Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Burial St. Martin of Tours Cemetery.
