Richard Pawelka Obituary

Pawelka, Richard P. "Rick" Of Pflugerville,TX passed away December 17, 2017 Age 68 years. Rick was our loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed life with his family and friends. Although never married, he loved life and accomplished much. His many interests included fishing, golfing, sports, and nature. He graduated from West Allis Nathan Hale High School in 1965. He then went on to UW- Stevens Point graduating in 1969 with a BS Degree in Science. After college, he was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War. He served in Korea. Rick then proceeded to spend his life working as a lab technician in several states, retiring in 2007 in Austin,Texas. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Peter Pawelka. He is survived by his mother Blanche (Bonnie), a sister Marsha C. Phelps (Charles R.) of Harrison,WI, and one brother Mark of Chicago, IL. A niece Kristin K. McLean (Grant) of Delafield, WI, a nephew Nicholas C. Phelps (Heather) of Merrill, WI. Along with two grandnieces Elizabeth K. McLean of Delafield, WI and Aurelia J. Phelps of Merrill, WI and one grandnephew James R. McClean of Delafield, WI. Visitation will be held January 6, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Schaff Funeral Home with a service at 1:00 PM at the Schaff Funeral Home. A Private military burial will take place on January 7, 2016 at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
