Cummings, Robert L., Jr. Of Milwaukee. Passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2009, at the age of 80 years. Dear husband of Janet (nee Vogt) for almost 58 years. Loving father of Carolyn (Michael) Martinelli, Diane Berg, Steven (Sally) Cummings, Mary Beth (John) Baribeau and Margaret (Anthony) Vanden Heuvel. Proud grandfather of Tony, Elise and Joe Martinelli, Mike and Kristen Berg, Patrick and Megan Cummings, Greg (AnnMarie) and Paul Kreitzer, and Nick, Charlie and Abby Vanden Heuvel. Brother-in-law of Jack (Mary) Vogt. He will also be remembered by other relatives and friends. Bob was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN, graduated from Purdue University, and was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He served as a lieutenant in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #449. Bob owned a successful painting and decorating business for many years. He was president of local and state chapters of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, a volunteer driver for Interfaith, and an active member of Christ King School and Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Leo J. Brust Council #3702. Visitation Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Christ King Catholic Church, 2604 N. Swan Blvd. (92nd St.), Wauwatosa, from 9:30AM until time of the Funeral Mass at 11AM.
