Robert Schraufnagel Obituary

Schraufnagel, Robert "Bob" Age 75 years. Of Oconomowoc. Went home to the Lord on Monday, November 23, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Carole "Carrie" (nee Neuenschwander). Loving father of Steven (Tami), Kenneth (Cheri), Peter (Lisa) and Amy (Tom) Kenderish. Proud grandfather of Jennifer, Jacob, Carly, Lauren, Courtney, Ryan, and Megan Schraufnagel and Giana and Amanda Kenderish. Dear brother of Jean (Ernie), Nanci (Jim), Dick (Pat), Jim, Linda, and Cindy (Herbert). Preceded in death by his son John, grandson Christopher, and his parents Raymond and Grace. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Bob will be remembered for all his hard work building Super Excavators into a corporation to be emulated by others in the industry. He always strove to treat everyone that worked with him like members of his family, and all others that worked in the industry with respect and integrity. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. The relationship between Bob and Carrie is an example to each of us as how to show love and support to each other through all of life's journeys. He absolutely loved the time he spent in the Florida Keys and graciously opened heart and home to all who wanted to visit. His faith and generosity was evident to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in all the lives he touched. Visitation on Thursday, December 3 from 3PM-7PM at the FUNERAL HOME. Additional visitation will be on Fri., Dec. 4 from 9AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH; W220 N6588 Town Line Rd., Menomonee Falls. Private burial will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob's name to the Sussex Food Pantry or Jesuit Retreat House are greatly appreciated.

I remember Bob well when we played racquetball at the highlander for many years. We nicknamed them"the contractors'. He was the ultimate gentleman. Terry Hart MD

Bob was a friend of my husband, John A. Pluta,
who died a long time ago. John was also in the construction business with the R.E. Beaudoin and Son Company in Menomonee Falls. John also liked fishing with Bob's Dad Ray. I would like to extend my condolences to the family.

Sincerely,

Carol A. Pluta and Family

Although I had not seen Bob in any years, I remember him well. My MUHS '58 yearbook carries the notation "thanks for helping me through German class"- Bob. I remember sliding my paper forward on Bob's right ear and hearing his yelp as it cut. On senior class picture day, Bob had forgotten his sport coat so he wore mine and our pictures were printed next to each other. His cousin Dennis was my room mate at SNC. Rest in peace Bob. My condolences to the family. J.S. '58
