Because of you dear Ryan, our daughter Noni, came to know the meaning of true happiness.
Because of you dear Ryan, our daughter married the love of her life, her soul-mate
And because of you dear Ryan, we knew what it was like to have a son
Because of you dear Ryan, there was great music at all our family functions
There were games and friendly competitions
There was silliness and lots of laughter
Our glasses were always full
My daughter never had to ride home in a cold car in the winter
Because of you, there was a tall person in our family who could reach things that none of the rest of us could
Because of you dear Ryan, we know what it means to be truly brave in the face of unimaginable pain and uncertainty
We know that super-heroes do exist on this earth
And we know that an angel with really big wings will be forever watching over us here on earth and waiting to greet us in Heaven
Because of you Dear Ryan, there will forever be an empty place in our hearts and lingering sadness, but because of you, we have many, many sweet memories to cherish.

My heart is so heavy with sorrow for all of Ryan's family, especially Tom, Teri and Noni. May God hold you in His arms and heal your broken hearts.
