Mansfield, Susan After a long courageous battle with cancer, our sister Susan Mansfield passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, surrounded by loved ones. She was the matriarch of the Mansfield Family, and took her role very seriously especially after the passing of both parents. Susan supported each and every member of the family and always thought of others before herself. She was a kind hearted and generous friend and colleague. She enjoyed a wonderful career over 25 years at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance as a Network Security Specialist. Susan was proud to be one of the first women in the State of Wisconsin to be Cisco Certified as a Internetwork Expert. She also was a doting mother to Lady and Sparky her rambunctious Shelties whom she loved very much. Her favorite times were spent with the Pups at the dog park, on long walks and playing at home. Entertaining friends and family with gourmet meals and carefully selected fine wines brought Susan so much joy, and she took pleasure in creating an evening for people to always remember. Susan loved listening to classical music, sitting on her porch overlooking her beautiful back yard, watching Star Trek, The Cooking Channel and traveling to spend time with family. As Susan said at her recent 60th birthday party: "Be like your dog, live in the moment, you can't change the past so don't dwell on it. Don't worry about things that you have no control over, focus on improving the future. No matter what befalls you at a low point in your life, the sun will shine for you again". Susan is survived by her siblings: Marsha (Steven) Schooler, Cathy (Robert) Rolland, Alan (Elisa) Mansfield, Laurie (Rick) Williams, Melissa Mansfield. Further survived by adoring Nieces and Nephews close relatives and good friends.
