Dear Kooroush -

Since first meeting you nearly 26 years ago upon starting medical school, the recent chance to renew old friendships 2 years ago allowed all of us to make new ones as well. It was at that time when my wife, Laura, and I first met Susan at our medical school reunion. Laura and I had the opportunity to meet, greet, and have dinner with you and Susan, as well as other classmates and their spouses. Laura in particular spent most of the evening getting to know Susan and came away from that event with a new friendship and we were both already looking forward to our next reunion. When we learned of Susan's recent passing, Laura and I were both stunned. Our immediate thoughts were of the loss to you and your kids of such a wonderful person. Due to distance, we were not able to be there for her memorial. However, our thoughts and feelings are with you.

Dear Kooroush,
I remember when Susan worked at MCMW and met you when you were Chief Resident in Cardiology. Susan was always the bright shining star. We ran into each other about 2 years ago in Door County. It was then that I learned of her struggle with cancer. We had such a wonderful time catching up with each other. I hold that time and her image in my heart. My deepest sympathy to you and your sons.
