Tom and I served on the Board of Directors for the Ice Age Trail. What a phenomenal leader and inspiration! I count my affiliation with Tom and his mentorship among my greatest gifts connected to the IAT.

I served with Tom on the Ice Age Trail Board.
He truly was a "man for all seasons". It was pure joy to take a hike wiht Tom and Bette. I will miss his
sparkling eyes, snappy bow ties and scintillating conversations.
May he rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers to Bette, Ellen, Amy and the whole family. What a remarkable individual who leaves an indelible imprint on so many organizations, the Bayside community, and innumerable friends! He was an extraordinary gentleman, citizen, and SANC board colleague. Randy Dean and family

Tom mentored me in my first job in the law. Always a good natured gentleman, Tom was devoted to the highest ideals of the legal profession and beyond. He set a high standard which was pleasing to follow. My sympathies to Bette and to his family, to whom he was devoted.

I was greatly saddened to see the passing of Tom Drought in today's paper. Working for him at Cook & Franke was an honor; he was the best boss a person could ask for. My heart goes out to Bette and the family.

So many fond memories of good times with Tom & Bette & Ted Oppel, often with other members of Toms family. My life has been enriched by having known Tom.
