I just foiund out about Wayne passing yesterday and I was stunned. My dealings with Wayne were usually on the opposite side of a case and I found him to be a wonderful lawyer and a man of integrity. My heart goes out to his family and his partner Mark Mingo as well.

Wayne was a lawyer I knew only as an "adversary" = that is, as "opposing counsel" in one case in Georgia. But we were NOT adversaries. How could we be? I am from Wisconsin, too. We had a common bond immediately. Any time we spoke, the "business" always got done first but then he found time to talk with me about the stuff of fishing, the lake, the beauty of the North Woods. The one time I had the pleasure of meeting Wayne here in Atlanta, he was such a delight to work with - so courteous, helpful, and professional - and prepared!!! His clients, as I know they know, were represented by the best of the best!!! He was just a quality person through and through and it was easy to tell that even the very short time I knew him. My father was a lawyer in Illinois; Wayne reminded me of him in terms of his ehtics and professionalism. I am so sad about this news of his passing. I will be thinking of all of his family and close friends on Friday and praying for a beautiful day in celebration of Wayne's life. He would want all of us to go fishing; and the next time I go fishing, it will be in his honor.

It seems like just yesterday I was in law school with Wayne. I will always remember his smile and easy manner...he seemed to have his life priorities well in order, and did not let the "small stuff" trouble him. I am sure he will be missed, but also well remembered, and a permanent part of the hearts of those who knew him. My sincere condolences.

Wayne was a great guy. Years ago my friend, Mark Mingo, got Wayne and one of my other classmates to golf every Sunday for a summer one year. I disliked the golf, but I really liked being with Wayne, Mark and Dennis.
My condolences to your family on your great loss.
