Dwane Kaplor

Dwane Kaplor , 85 passed away on March 24, 2022 in Juneau, Alaska.

Dwane was born on September 8, 1936
In Appleton, Minnesota to Peter Kaplor & Marie Kaplor .  He was united in marriage to Betty Lakoduk on August 26, 1962

After he graduated from High School. He proudly served our country  by joining the Army. Following his service in the Army he attended North Dakota State School of Science. After Graduation he was employed with Collins Radio Corporation in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He transferred to Fargo , North Dakota was employed with Friden /Singer Business machine. He moved his family to Juneau, Alaska in 1983. Where he was employed with Yukon Business Supply. He worked as Van driver for Care - A - Van. He started a business fixing small appliances. He worked for My Uncle James Hanson fueling planes at Coastal Fuel at the Airport.

Dwane served as a Boy Scout Leader while living in Kindred , North Dakota.

He loved spending quality time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, chess. You could also find him playing in a good game of pinochle with friends.

He enjoyed having a little puppy or kitten to hold.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Kaplor. His Daughter Karen Fortwengler{Kevin},  His son , Kenny Kaplor{Susie}. His Grandchildren, Katie Kaplor, Kyle Kaplor, Maria Kaplor. His Sister in Law Wanda Kaplor.

He was preceded in death by His parents, His Brother, Pete Kaplor .

Celebration of Life will be held on April 3, 2022 at Moose Lodge starting at 4:00pm. The celebration will be open to the public.
