Carol Mackbee Lichenstein

Carol Mackbee Lichenstein, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, Louisiana, passed away on August 13, 2025. Though dementia had its grip on her, she has now found victory and peace. She is survived by her daughters: Dawn V. Lirette (Tommy), Shannon L. Verdin: sons, Keith Vinet (Darlene) and Kenneth Vinet; and sister, Brenda Diaz; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Mackbee and Irene Hebert Diaz; son, Paris Vinet, Jr.; four brothers and one sister. Also, her companion that she loved dearly, Honore Muntz. Carol was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated worker and spent many years working at Eastway West and Golden Corral. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to her caretakers, especially Wendy Domangue who loved her as her own. We will forever be grateful to her. Also, Heritage Manor of Houma for their dedication to mom's care. St. Catherine's Hospice nurses, Social Worker, and Pastor for always giving updates on her. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Samart Funeral Home on West Park from 9:00 am until the memorial service at 10:30 am.
