Daniel "Danny" Peter Allemand., age 83, passed away on Mar 26, 2026, at his home, surrounded by family and friends. He was a native and resident of
Houma, LA.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Bridget Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, beginning at 9:00 am, until the time of service at 11:00 am. There will be a "Celebration of Life" in the St. Bridget Annex following the services.
Danny enlisted in the Unites States Army in 1960 where he was stationed in Germany. When he returned home, he met and married the love of his life Lorraine over 61 years ago. He wore many hats over the course of his life with the majority of it working as a welder in the oilfield. This career took him to different areas all over the world. Danny and Lorraine had 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way. Danny loved "all the babies" which made his favorite hat being a family man. He loved to be outdoors. He loved to hunt but loved fishing most of all. He passed that love on to his children who still carry on the tradition today. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family every chance he got. If he wasn't fishing, he could usually be found in his garden where he grew many types of citrus fruit and vegetables. He was known for his Deer Sausage Sauce Picante that he made for 4-H events, his tomato salsa that he loved to share with everyone, and seafood boils where everyone was considered family. Danny never met a stranger. He is loved and missed dearly by his family and friends.
Danny is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lorraine Brunet Allemand; daughters, Toni Strachan (Allen) and Vicki Scott; son, Mark Allemand; grandchildren, Caleb Delcambre (fiancé' Jennifer), Micah Delcambre (Natasha), Alex Scott, Abbi Scott, Lindsey Allemand, and Emily Allemand; great-grandchildren, Aridessa Delcambre, Demitri Delcambre, Caleb Delcambre, Zayden Allemand, Rowan Paddie, Kaciee Beason, and Bryce Beason; Brothers, Rodney Allemand (Lillie), Harris Allemand, Earlis Allemand (Elma), Royce Allemand (Carol), and Johnny Allemand (Mary) and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
