Oh I'm sorry I didn't try to find Gus earlier, he sounds like a blessed wonderful man! Just came across this looking for August Bohm. He was my great great Uncle (Josephine his sister was my great great grandmother and her daughter Genevieve was my grandmother). My mother (Shirley Wozniak Hutchens Dull) and I have many pictures of Agnes, Gus's mother. Will be trying to find your family to pass these on. Julie 650-452-5253

I am sorry to learn of the passing of Gus. I remember the many times we talked in his office, how he enjoyed our bridge games and the time we spent trying to raise a garden. He was a great friend and will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolences to Candance and the rest of the family. Although my visits with Gus were few, I always remembered Gus's kind demeanor and thought of him often! It doesn't take much to make a lasting impression on someone, and Gus was that person for me! You'll be missed! May you be enjoying the kingdom of heaven!

As a member of St. Thomas Aquinas parish, my deepest sympathy to Candace and all of the family. May August enjoy eternal peace and happiness forever.
I'm wondering if your Bohm family has a relative named Judy Bohm? She and I were roommates while we worked at the lab down in Enid, Okla., and she was one of my bridesmaids at my wedding in the late 1960's. I'd love to re-establish contact with her. My home phone number is: (316) 686-8465.

While attending Washburn University in the early 90's, I attended a Kappa Sigma fraternity alumni function. I had several older alumni come up to me and ask if I was related to Gus Bohm. Up till that point I didn't realize that Gus attended Washburn too. The Kappa Sig boys spoke very highly about him even though he wasn't an "official" member of the fraternity, apparently they all were good friends. He will be missed by more than just family. I'm proud that I was able to follow in his footsteps at Washburn. In all there were 3 other siblings out of my family that attended WU (Lee Ann, David, Dennis). Thank you Gus, you will be missed.

I remember Mr. Bohm with fondness. He was one of my high school English teachers at Lincoln, KS. He was a man of kindness and patience. I don't ever remember him letting the kids rattle his composure in the classroom, although there were many occasions when he probably wanted to run screaming from the room!
God's blessings to all of his family. Judy Dresselhaus Shaffstall,
class of 1961.

As a co-worker I would like to say that Gus was a real pioneer and leader in the guidance and counseling of high school, vo-tech, and community college students, starting in the early '60's as the programs were being devised and developed. He was a siritual leader as well. Wife and family can be so proud and grateful. And, I thank the Lord Jesus that He has made it possible for us all to be together for all eternity. It can only be through Him!

I'm really sorry for your loss. I always thought Uncle Gus was the nicest man when I was little, and I know Dad ( Joe Bohm, his brother) thought the world of him.
