Ben Balaba Obituary
Passed away on August 10, 2007, at age 49. Son of the late Ignacio Balaba and Carmen Mirear of Merced, brother to Dave Balaba and the late Kelle Balaba, brother-in-law to Annette Balaba, loving uncle. He loved coaching football and basketball at St. Anne's Elementary School. He attended Christian Brothers High School. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on August 18 at South Point Christian Center, 7520 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, 916-423-1096.

To the Balaba Family, my prayers are with you. It has been a long time
since the playground at St. Anne's, where Benny and Jeri and I used to "run" the playground - then life takes us down different paths and
years go by without seeing each other and for whatever reason one
thinks of those good times and the people known as "friend" and one
wonders how they are doing... I will always remember Ben - my friend
and one of my "bro's" from the 'hood.

It has been a very long time since those childhood school days of St. Anne's. Benny was a wonderful classmate; full of humor and comical insight. My condolences to the family and community whose lives he enriched.
