Charlotte, North Carolina - Bruce Henry Talbott of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on August 22, 2023 in Salisbury, North Carolina. He was born on December 7, 1940 in Independence, Kansas to the late Francis Howe and Sarah Katharyn (Fife) Talbott. Bruce was a 1958 graduate of Wichita High School East, and enjoyed a long and successful career as a software developer. He served in the U.S. Army, where he attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. After leaving the military, he worked in the banking industry. In his retirement years, Bruce enjoyed researching family history, volunteering with area VA hospitals, playing the harmonica, and spending time with his dog, Jubi. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVeda Marie (Bowyer) Talbott, and is survived by his sons, William Henry Talbott of Burlingame, California and Charles Bradley Talbott of Cumming, Georgia, his granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Talbott of Sugar Hill, Georgia, and his "French daughter," Cécile Mangenot of Strasbourg. Bruce will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. Please consider a memorial donation to the ALS Association (www.als.org). Wow !! Just now saw this ! Bill and Chuck I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad! He texted me a couple months after he moved into the assisted living and then didn´t hear from him after that. I will always cherish the good times at Systematics. Your mom and dad came to see us when we first built our lake house in 2012. So thankful we had that we had that time together. If one of you boys could email me or call me that would be great. Hope you´re all doing great

I am so sade to know I won't be able to spend some more time with you and to cook some quiche lorraine for you ...
The first day we met in Wichita, I knew you all will be my American Family. You, LaVeda, Bill and Chuck have been so kind during these last 30 years. You have welcomed Patrick, Mathilde and Auguste as well with all your love.
I have a special thought for your two sons, Bill and Chuck.
