BELLE PLAINE - Slater, Charlene Adele, 45, retired USAF TSgt. aircraft mechanic, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004. Visitation 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Hatfield-Smith Funeral Home; service 2 p.m. Monday, First Baptist Church. Survivors: husband, Mike; daughter, Jordan of Belle Plaine; sons, Josh and Jeremy McFerrin of Wichita; stepchildren, Michael Slater, Trina Zemke, Virginia Erickson; mother, Lois Babb of Belle Plaine; brother, Ronald Babb of St. Augustine, FL; sisters, Theresa Sade of Wichita, Rhonda McCune of Rose Hill; 11 grandchildren. Preceded in death by father, William Babb. Memorials to American Diabetes Association and First Baptist Church.
