Wichita, Kansas - Charles Ray Mitts, 68, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
Charlie was born on September 30, 1956 in Columbus, KS to Lewis Everett and Bernice JewelDene Mitts, who preceded him in death along with his brother, Gene Mitts. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1978. He married Patricia Ann Hirschmann on May 24, 1980.
Charlie was the former owner and operator of DirtyWork, providing residential cleaning services in Wichita for over 20 years.
Charlie was a caring and devoted husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed by many.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patty; two sons, Alex (Christine) and Zach (Ashley); and six grandchildren who adored him. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Mitts of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Debby Mitts of Allen, TX; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends who will not soon forget Charlie's signature hearty laugh.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
