Michael Mitts

Michael John Mitts of Pembroke Pines, Fl passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026 at the age of 55.

The son of Shirley and John, he was born on January 5, 1971 in Suffern, NY, attending Nanuet High School followed by Manhattan College, and ending with a career as an accountant.

Michael, a lifelong, dedicated sports fan to his favorite teams, loved to watch the NY Yankees, Islanders, Jets, and Knicks, as well as University of Michigan College Football.

Michael, a cancer survivor, was an avid supporter of Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society.

Although Michael enjoyed life, he enjoyed taking care of his family more than anything else. He enjoyed expressing his love through cooking, as he was an excellent cook and enjoyed being in the kitchen.

Michael will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his sarcastic wit. His unconditional love for all of his family members will forever bind us all together.

Michael is now home with the Lord and at eternal peace.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife Joy, and his children Mason and Elyssa.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his mother Shirley Dell'Armo, his stepfather Joseph Dell'Armo, his brothers John Mitts, Wayne Mitts, Ande Mitts, Timothy Mitts and Brian Mitts. He was predeceased by his father John Mitts, his sister Nancy Mitts and his brother Lindey Mitts.

Michael is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Sierra, Justin, Austin, Kim, Katie, April, Sandra, Mark, Christine, Ande, Melissa, Lauren, Steven, Catherine, John and Tyler.

Michael is also survived by a loving extended family of in-laws and beloved friends.
