James G. Donovan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James G. Donovan of Montvale, NJ on Saturday, February 21st.

Jim was a Navy Veteran and served on the USS Waller and USS DuPont.

He was a past Commander of American Legion Post 153 and past officer

at the B.P.O. Elks 2234 in Park Ridge.

Jim retired from Veolia/ Spring Valley Water Co. after 42 years of service, most of it at the Lake

DeForest water filter plant in West Nyack, NY. After retirement, he was

a crossing guard for the town of Park Ridge. He was also the owner

of J&P Coffee Wholesalers.

Jim was a devout Catholic and enjoyed spending time with his family. He looked forward to time at the Jersey Shore, yearly trips to Redington Beach, Florida and to Saratoga, NY

for the horse races. He was a lifelong Yankees and New York Giants fan.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Patricia (nee McDevitt), his

children James (Dee), Bill (Andrea), Diane (Brian), and Brian (Jesse).

He will be missed by his grandchildren Lauren, Casey, Michaela,

Dakota, Joseph, Elizabeth and many loving nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents Edna and William of Nyack, NY and

brothers William, Thomas, Joseph, John, George, Francis and sisters

Patricia, Ruth, Agnes, Joanne, Dorothy, Regina, Rose, Maureen,

Elizabeth, Virginia, and Bridget.
