Wichita, Kansas - Christopher Allen Jeter, 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, surrounded by family.
Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, September 10, 2025; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 11, 2025, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Stewart and Burks Jeter; sister, Kaaren Brown. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; daughters, Michele (Tom), Nichole (Jon); son, Gavin (Kelly); grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley, and David; brothers, Jeff Jeter (Diane) and Lester Palmer Jeter (Sanny); and many other relatives and friends.

Chris and I were pledge brothers in Delta Upsilon at KU in 1964. Chris was always energetic and enjoyable to be around. He was a varsity swimmer and well liked by everyone. Great guy. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.

Very sad to hear of Chris Jeter passing. Chris was my swim coach at North High in the early 70´s. I reconnected with him in my 30´s. It was great to relate to him as a friend. Rest in peace Mr. Jeter.
