Dear Blick Family,
MY SYMPATHY AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO YOU. MAY GOD BLESS YOU DURING THIS TIME OF GREAT SADNESS.
Dan was a wonderful friend. We had more than a few conversations about, well, just about everything. You will be missed Dan.

Dan was the master of the snide remark, although it was never intended to injure the other, instead just to remind you that attention was being paid to your thoughts and actions. Golf games with Dan especially guaranteed plenty of ribbing. He always amazed me with how well he played--possibly because he never seemed to take the game too seriously.
Rest comfortably now in the arms of your Creator, Dan. And, if possible, straighten out my slice when you see it heading out of bounds.

We lost an old friend Sunday morning. Dan Blick passed away, succumbing to cancer. Dan was the first free lance graphic designer I ever met. He was doing work for Boothe Advertising when I signed on there as a paste-up artist, and soon, way too soon, to become the Art Director. I'm still thankful for having Dan back then to help me along the way. Unlike the young people I see today, I really didn't know everything and Dan never hesitated to share with me his knowledge and his time. He made it easy for me to grow up quickly in my new position. That was 1971. A lot of laughs, chance meetings, shared projects and WSU Golf Tournaments have come and gone and I always had fun with Dan. I'm not sure he thought I was much of a designer, but he loved my drawings and paintings for sure. Now Dan is gone. Another void created where a craftsman (who learned design the right way, who paved the roads for many designers in Wichita to follow) once sat. Rest in Peace my friend. Maybe now, you can hit a golfball out of your shadow buddy.

I've known Dan for many years through the Printing/Graphics industry. Boy - could this man start a conversation with anybody and keep it going AND keep it interesting! I spent many hours in his office through the years listening to his stories. Like me, he had a strong opinion on everything! Blessings and Peace to his family and friends.

I worked with Dan almost every day for eight years. Can't help but to deeply know a person after all that time. He was a good conversationalist. His favorite subjects were his family, especially his kids and grandchildren, then his church, golf, good food and good cooking. He could talk to anybody and hold his ear. He'll be missed.

Dear Blick Family,

Oh the fun times we had with Dan as children! Running wild, chasing chickens at Thanksgiving; our parents didn't care. We had so much fun. And then we had to grow up and go on our way. Dan, you were always so entertaining - you always made us smile! And I enjoyed dinners with you and JeanAnne throughout the years. You will be missed! My prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this time.

Love, your cousin, Juanita Blick Elliott

I can finally reveal how you introduced hard liquor to us
after a hard battled football game. Heaven will be a joyous place with your humor. God Bless you Danny.
