Its hard to believe its been 12 years bro. We all miss you so much. I wonder what you would be up to if you were still here. You would be 49 this year!! Kaden is all grown up and graduated high school! I know you and Kayli are watching over him. Ava and I come visit you and put flowers and a flag on your grave site every Memorial Day. We also put flags on soldiers graves who doesn't have one. I know you would love that. I think of you all the time. You would be proud of how big our scrapyard is now! We've grown by leaps and bounds. I love you and miss you lil brother. See ya again one day!

Dave;
Christmas has come and gone. It is 11:00pm on New Years Eve. I would love to call Mom and Dad and tell them Happy New Year- but it just doesnt seem right. It wont be the same. EVER. We missed you at Christmas, Dad broke up during the prayer which hit all of us in the heart because we are missing you and meanwhile one of twins tooted through the whole prayer- which made me giggle.....I dont know if it was Cindy or Melanie..... I really wish that I could turn back the hand of time- if even for just a day. I have so many memories of when we hung out and lived together that I dont know which day I would choose...perhaps the house on Meridian when we had the pool and you would randomly come home and start a bon fire! Or when we would take your boat to the lake..you were always there for me when I was mad at Alvie.... When had a litter of sheepdog puppies..... or the burrito incident with the dog- you were broke and hungry and bought two burrito's from QT and you only took your eye off of them for a minute!! The funny thing is - is that your life was so full of these funny memories and great moments, I guess that makes you lucky because we dont all get to smile as much as you did. I miss you little brother- and if you were here I would give you a big KISS at midnight; so after I kiss my husband and kids, I will aim one towards the skies- it is meant for you so dont let anyone else get it! Love you~
your sis Laurie

David,
I miss you very much. You will be in our hearts always.
The Huskers are in bad shape this year.
Cheri said they need you here to cheer them on.
Halloween has come and gone and the holiday season is upon us.
Our hearts will not be quite as thankful or as merry this year without you. But we will help each other through it.
Kaden is a beautiful little boy, he enjoys his weekends with his grandma and grandpa Melichar.
I love you little brother.

Hey little brother;
Summer is almost gone. Fall is right around the corner and then it its holiday season. I hate winter anyway and this is going to be the hardest Thanksgiving and Christmas ever. We all miss you so much. Things will never be the same. The Huskers are winning so far...I will be wearing your jacket this winter; it will be like having your arms around me. Love you; miss you, so sorry your gone. Tell everyone Hi for me. Until we meet again. Your sis- Laurie

I am very shocked and saddened by the news of David's passing. I have very fond memories of the good times had with David back in the old neighborhood as kids. We were always trying to rig something, break something, fix something or just blow something up, with an occasional round of flashlight tag. There was no end of high jinks and shenanigans with David. Never a dull moment. His genius design and implementation of general mischief was legendary. Godspeed, Dave.

Hey little brother, I miss you every day. We all do. You can see things clearly now, and you know just how much we all love you. But I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you always and you are in my heart. Give Grandma and Grandpa, and Gracie and Joe a kiss for me. Love, Cindy

David, I am having another painful day without you. I miss you so much. It has been 3 weeks today since you left this earth. I still have trouble believing it.
I went to Kaden's karate promotion today. It was painful for me because you should have been there. You would have been so proud of him. He advanced to orange belt and will go into intermediate class now. He is getting so tall and is doing ok Kayli tells me. Roy is good to him but he should still have you too.
Your birthday is coming up and we plan to have a get together at Sedgwick County Park. I have reserved a shelter, there will be fishing for anyone who would like to fish, ducks/geese to feed and a playground for the younger kids. I wish you were here, you were looking forward to teaching Kaden to fish. This just is not right! I get very angry sometimes, but mostly very sad. Am going to see Michael Keller Wednesday, I hope he can help me. This is all so very, very painful.
I bought a birdfeeder for the tree by your grave. I plan to take it out maybe Monday. I'm almost looking forward to being beside you, then I can see you again. All my love, Mom

I almost got through the day yesterday without breaking down. I made it all the way to 11pm before the tears started to stream down my face. I think about you constantly and keep wishing that I could turn back the hands of time so that we could have had more time together. I miss you Dave. Your laugh, your smile, your silliness. You just never knew what was next with you. Alvie misses you calling him “Axis”. You were the only one who did that and he loved that. You were one of a kind. I told Alvie last night that you will have an awesome view of the fireworks tonight. I love you, little brother.

I just learned of David's passing--I'm in shock. I don't know what to say-I just have a ton of memories of playing youth baseball with him on Tested Tough and then living in the same neighborhood for many years. All the summers spent mowing lawns together--those were the times. I'm so very sorry.

I knew Dave as my friendly sign guy. Always up beat and eager to help me out with promoting my business. We talked often about the hardships of small business,and laughed about all that comes with it. I was looking for help at the salon for almost one year with a help wanted message on the sign. I was discouraged that the sign wasn't helping, nothing was, Dave knew how I was feeling...next thing I knew there was,silver sparkly things and even balloons attached to the sign. It did get the attention I wanted and I did get the help I so desperately needed. I think of that and it always makes me smile to know that he cared enough to do that for me. I was so shocked to hear about his passing. I pray for peace and comfort for the family.I will miss the smile and the friendship,as I am sure you do also.
