Edith Bowersox Obituary

Bowersox, Edith Ruth, 88, of Beaumont died February 24, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Wichita, Kansas on November 3, 1916 and lived in rural Towanda and El Dorado before moving to Beaumont in 1998. Edith was a member of El Dorado United Methodist Church and will always be remembered as a devoted wife, a mother who volunteered with her church, worked with the Association for Retarded Citizens and with Susan B. Anthony Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her daughter, Marilew Kay Beadle and her husband James of Beaumont; grandsons, Scott Beadle and his wife Sarah of San Antonio, Texas, Steven Beadle of Seattle, Washington; great grandson, Clint Beadle of San Antonio, Texas. Preceded in death by her husband, Lewis R. Bowersox; daughter, Lois Jane Bowersox; brothers, Joseph Adams, James Adams and Bob Adams. A visitation will be held Friday 5:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. There will also be a visitation on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita. Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Old Mission Mortuary followed by burial at Wichita Park Cemetery.
