May 29, 1933 - January 9, 2022
Goddard, Kansas - Eugene "Gene" Meyer, 88, retired farmer and builder, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022. Preceded by parents Ben and Marguerite Meyer, sister Marie Joann and brother Robert. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gloria (Metzinger), sister Rosemary Suchy of Emporia, and many nieces and nephews. A rosary will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 9:30 AM, followed by funeral mass at 10:00 AM, both at St. Mark Catholic Church, located 5 miles south of Colwich, KS. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Mark Altar Society, or the Good Shepherd Hospice.
