Dear Gwen and family,
We are sorry to hear about the passing of your husband and father. He was a remarkable and inspiring man. At the Catholic Care Center our father enjoyed visiting with him before and after mass. Our father talked about Bart often. Our prayers and sympathy go out to you and your family.

Dear Gwen and family,
I was a student of Mr. Sevart at WSU - he was a good teacher and a good man - he always treated me fairly. In later years, seeing him at St. Thomas, I would tell him that he had taught me everything I know about engineering - he would laugh. My prayers are with you.

I faced your father many times in courtrooms all over the country. He was a man of great integrity, intellect, ingenuity and humor. We fought like cats and dogs in court and walked away as friends. You must be very proud of him.

Gwen, Jennifer, and Family: Sorry to read about Bart's passing. We were in your home many times. We still love Jennifer and think of her often. I was very sad to read about John's passing. He was a wonderful man who taught me alot about standing up and shouting for what's right, he had a true passion for those he fought for and inspired me to have that kind of passion for those I fight for today. His fight was for those all over our nation and he taught all of us that ever worked for him to not give up, that we may be the only ones standing up for people who were hurt and in need. I will NEVER forget John Sevart and what he taught me and I will be forever grateful for those lessons. Gwen and family, I am so very sorry for your loss but Heaven gained a Champion when he went home. I wish your family peace and comfort.

I will miss our short visits at the Catholic Care Center, but I also hope you will now take some time to care for yourself. Gwen, Kevin and family: I am saddened to learn of John's passing. I first knew John as a first rate engineer and consultant but came to know him as a wonderful, compassionate and caring human being. I came to understand that it was these qualities, more than his keen intellect, that made him the consummate professional and allowed him to relate so well to juries. Every interaction with John on a professional level taught new lessons, not just about engineering and safety, but about what is important in life. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Bart had a great work ethic and instilled in his children wonderful family values and a strong faith. Anyone who knew Bart or knows any one of the Sevart children and grand children will meet part of Bart through them.
