Kenneth Eugene Trimmer

AUGUSTA-Trimmer, Kenneth Eugene 94, of Augusta, KS, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017. Visitation Friday, September 29, 2017 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS, Burial will follow at Clearwater Cemetery, KS. Kenneth was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma on August 20, 1923, to the late Kathleen Samantha (Rocket) and David Burton Trimmer. He served in the U.S. Army. Kenneth was a retired motor coach operator at Continental/Trailways Bus line. On Feb. 20, 1943 he married Betty Ann (Shoemaker) Trimmer at the Douglas Ave Church of Christ, Wichita, KS and she survives him. He is also survived by: son, Ed Trimmer and wife Kris of Winfield; daughter, Kay Cook and husband Lloyd Jr. of Wichita.; grandchildren, Andrew Cook, Michelle Cook, Kyle Rivera (Alfredo) and Jessica Smith (Mark); great grandchildren, Caleb & Noah Cook, Asanty & Avery Rivera, and Hannah Smith, and a great grandson, Weston Flannigan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Herman and a sister, Geraldine Hudson; half-brothers, Marshall Melvin, and Frank Trimmer; and half-sisters, Ollie Hessen & Lucille Robinson.
