Although we only worked together as writers at the ad agency for a couple of years, I still think of Mia often. She had a wonderful laugh and we certainly needed that in our projects. When Mia decided to leave Wichita and move to California, I invited everyone at the agency to a big dinner celebration. Turned out everyone had a conflict and the "celebration" was just Mia, my husband, and me. It was like a Seinfeld episode. We invited neighbors and had food, drink, and lots of laughs. A good memory.

I grew up with Mia in Wichita, KS. Our fathers worked together for many years and our families spent many Sunday afternoons in College Hill Park when we were young. She was smart, creative, and kind. My sympathies to her family and friends.

Mia and I worked together as writers at Stephan Advertising in Wichita, in the 1980's, and we had a chance to see each other again when Mia visited our home, a dozen or so years ago. She was such a witty, warm, talented person. I am shocked and sad to know her light is gone from this world. My deepest sympathy to family and friends.
