Mona Farrow Obituary

Farrow, Mona Beth, "The joy of the Lord is my strength." Nehemiah 8:10. A celebration service for Mona Beth Farrow 78 of Enid will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday September 7, 2005 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid. Burial will be at 3:00p.m. Wednesday, at the Lone Star Cemetery, in Pretty Prairie, Kansas. Mona Beth Farrow was born on March 9, 1927, in Hamlin, Texas to Hugh H. and Ethel B. Dixon Farrow. She graduated from Wichita High School North in 1945 and attended Wichita State University. She was married to Bill Dopps in 1946. After Bill went to be with the Lord in 1981, Mona Beth married Paul B. Farrow. She lived in Wichita, KS where she served as pastor's secretary at Bethel Life Center. She also served as president for Women in Construction. Mona Beth, also lived in Anson, Texas and Brookesmith, Texas, before moving to Enid in 1999. She was an active member at Emmanuel Baptist Church, singing in the choir and playing in the hand-bell choir. She enjoyed volunteering at Our Daily bread and at the Bass Hospital. She was dearly loved by her sister, Phyllis Sheets of Sacramento, CA, three children David Dopps and wife Lynn, Becki Sayre and husband Dale all of Enid, and Gay Willson of Winfield, KS, two step-children Joe Paul Farrow and Kris Farrow of Texas, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grand children who all knew her as GRAMMY. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, a step-son, and a granddaughter. She loved to play the piano, travel, knit, read and always played a challenging game of Scrabble. She was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of learning to play the harp, and can now do that full-time in the presence of the Lord. Remembrances can be made to Mona Beth's family at www.ladusauevans.com. Memorials can be made in her name to Our Daily Bread with the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Mona Beth was a very sweet friend. I will truly miss her in our Sunday School class and also her smile and her hugs.
