Nadine Tillotson Obituary

WINFIELD-Tillotson, Nadine 92, of Winfield, KS passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Cumbernauld Village. Graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday July 11 at Highland Cemetery in Winfield, KS. Memorials may be made out to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home - 803 Loomis St., Winfield, KS 67156. Nadine was born on Sept. 26, 1925 to Clyde and Norma (Brian) Means and raised on a farm north of Derby, KS. She graduated from Derby High School ('43), Southwestern College ('47) and taught Home Economics at Peabody High School. Nadine and Dwight Tillotson were married in 1948, established their home in Wichita and raised two children. They became charter members of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Nadine lived out her faith as choir member, Sunday School teacher, leader in UMW, a member of many committees and especially as kitchen coordinator. Her efforts created fellowship and relationships that furthered the work of the church. Nadine is survived by her husband, daughter Carol Galliart (Dave), son Keith Tillotson (Roxanne), grandchildren, Scott Galliart (Kari), Erin Packer (Lynn) Megan Wolf (Brent) Christopher Galliart, Vanessa Tillotson, Michael Tillotson (Champey), Kristin Tillotson, John Tillotson (Jenny), Benjamin Tillotson (Beth), and Heidi Change (Kevin), great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Kyndal, Kemper, Kira, Evan, Norah Kate, Callum, Leo, Caleb and Grace, sisters, Joanne Gedwillo, Beth Weinert, Shirley Shelley, Judy Frankson and brother, Jack Means. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lois Rose.
