For some of us, Rex embodied what it meant to be a free man in a free country. Today things have changed some with governmental regulation and control of our individuality and futures. But Rex represented that indomitable, tough, smart, gritty American of yore who took risks, worked hard and was successful. Whether it was his family, his inventions, his beloved Herefords cattle business, or as a regularly published raconteur extraordinaire, this Marion County man was 100% American and 100% Kansan.

Our Cowboy is on Happy Trails. Will miss the stories. Sure we have not heard them all. A man with many years of experiences and years of hard work. One of a kind. The years in his life are counted by the many friends he established along the way. So glad we were lucky enough to be a part of his journey.
