You will be missed by all but in my thoughts and prayers daily. I have so many memories from when you and Aunt Cleta lived in the apartment off of 31st st, to the house on exchange to Hiram ( and how you remodeled the basement with all the beautiful wood just for the basement to flood) to the house on Oak. Also, the time we danced and mom and dads anniversay (we really showed 'em how to dance didn't we----and we will dance again!!!!!

To the children of Dickie Cox, I say this: I should hope your daddy had at least told you once about our summer of 1950; but if not, allow me these few words. We were the Boys of Planeview. We had no sponser; we had no uniforms, but we were good. We were good because of guys like your daddy, G*d bless him. It is he and those others that I see again and again in my memory, as I watch little boys gather again and again each spring to play the simple game of baseball. It is he and those others of "our summer of 1950" that I've told others about every spring since: We were the Boys of Planeview. We had no sponser. We wore no uniforms, but we were good. G*d bless them all. Our love and prayers to you and yours, and especially to your momma. Your daddy was a good man. In sympathy, Don & Liz May

To the Family of Dick Cox. I am very sorry for your loss. I lived in Wichita until I was 11 -12. I lived in Planeview as my Father worked at Boeing. We had the housing that Boeing put up for their employees family. I am now 74 and live in Oregon. I left Planeview at the end of WW II. I was in the 6th grade and I remember two boys and one was Jack Johnson and the other was Dick Cox. I was checking for an obituary in Douglass Ks. I saw Richard (Dick) Cox and I had to write to see if possibly could be your Husband and Father. I am sad for your family and I hope you do not take offensive of me writing to you. If your Husband went to Planeview in 1945 then I think I knew him a young boy. Again, May God be with you and your Family at this hard time.

I thank God for Dick's ability to council me when I was a foolish young man working for Dick at Cessna. Dick spent a lot of time working with me, and somewhat mentoring me. His counceling has led to an almost 33 year marriage with my wife, and we're looking forward to more years. Dick and I enjoyed hunting quail, and talking about it even more. Thanks for sharing your dad and husbandwith me, over 30 years ago.
