Mark Ridder
October 12, 2025
Dick was always my "go to guy" at Ridder family reunions or events. He was always smiling and so friendly to everyone. I remember his live, on-camera interviews over the years as a Wichita Fire Department spokesman on the scene of major fires in the area. He was very professional and articulate in the interviews. Dick painted our house in his off duty hours back in the 1970´s. I distinctly recall his cheerful attitude and constant whistling throughout the day as he worked. Dick loved sports and I would see him often at local Shocker basketball games- again, with a big smile and friendly handshake. I will miss Dick very much at any future Ridder family gatherings. May he and Sharon enjoy the love and peace of eternity together with all our other departed family members. You can continue forever to be a great ambassador for our family!
Love,
Mark Ridder (Emil´s son)

As a Wichita Firefighter, both myself and my father Dolan Martin worked with Dick. My dad always asks about Ridder. Rest in peace.
