My sympathy to his family. He was an amazing professor, a noble man and the world's a lesser place with his passing.

Dear Aunt Pat and Family,

Mom greatly loved Uncle Ears. She used to tell me how they would shadow box as kids. She told how they would both memorize something before all of their other classmates. There was two years between in them ages, but they were more like fraternal twins. I want to say without God giving me Uncle Ears I probably wouldn't be a teacher right now. Uncle Ears fought alongside my mom to guarantee that I received an education like everyone. I am sorry that I was not able to attend. Mom was always proud of Ears and her other brothers. May God bless you and your family. Uncle Ears is now with Mom and his other family. Uncle Ears was blessed with a great mind. Most of all, he was a great brother to his siblings. Mom enjoyed his wit and sense of humor. I remember them talking at Hosey Hill and the school reunion before Mom got sick the second time. God provides comfort in times of grief. Mom and Uncle Ears are probably talking and kidding each other in heaven.

I attended Parsons Junior College when Roy returned from service to further his schooling. He always wore army fatigues, often they were patched, but always clean. What a brilliant and off-beat mind! :-) A great example of what hard work and dedication can accomplish. Truly a good man I am blessed to have known.
