Sean Younger Obituary

CHANUTE - Younger, Sean Michael, 30, passed away Dec. 12, 2007 at Harry Hynes Hospice, St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. He was born May 25, 1977 in Garden City, Kan., son of Michael and Marsha Blair Younger. He was a 1995 graduate of Mulvane High School and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's Degree in Education in May of 2001 and a Master's Degree in Sports Administration in Aug. of 2002. Sean was employed with Ameriprise Financial in Kansas City and Chicago from 2002 to 2006. He married Jennifer J. Arthur on July 31, 2004 in Chanute. She survives of the home. Other survivors include son, Greyson Younger of the home; parents, Michael and Marsha Younger of Derby; sister, Missy Arnett and husband, Slade of Rose Hill; nephews, Garet and Tyler Arnett; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Sargent of Garden City; paternal grandmother, Lorraine Williams of Minneapolis, Minn.; father and mother-in-law, John and Mitzi Arthur of Chanute; brother-in-law, Jeremy Arthur and wife, Courtney of Chicago, Ill. Service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the First Christian Church, Chanute. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, Chanute. Interment will be at Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Therapy Development Institute or the Greyson Younger Education Fund in c/o the funeral home.
