Wichita, Kansas - Captain Steve K. Atkinson, devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and retired Captain of the Sedgwick County Fire Department, passed on February 28, 2025.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Diane Albert and Timothy Atkinson.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Heartland Community Church.
