I really miss my cousin Steve. I'll always remember the antique watch that he gave me, it was over forty years old and I showed it off to all of my friends. They didn't think much of it but it meant everything to me. He used to tell me all kinds of great stories about himself and our huge family. I'm gonna miss those stories and also having soda, water or beer knocked over and spilled onto my lap. I love ya, Steve.

When I married Paula I felt like I married Steve. If we were going to the girls soccer games we went and got Steve. We spent many nights at the drive-in movies just enjoying ourselves. Most funest of all was Jayhawk Basketball we all had a common interest and loved watching KU together. I would pick steve up on my way home from work and Paula would drive him home after the games. Paula tells me many stories of fun Steve and her have had over the years. Paula could be upset about something and Steve could always bring her up lifted. His favorite thing to tell her was Paula you cant rationalize with irrational people. He sure will be missed he called about every 2 hrs the phone would ring we knew it was going to be great. I know Paula cries alot at night she misses him so much. But I tell her they will meet up again. I know he will never be forgotten in this family the girls bring up Steve everyday and talk about all he taught them and all the fun experiecing times at SALS he loved taken the girls there. As a matter of fact Steve loved Sals so much Paula and I got married there and Steve was are witness. Rest in Heaven Steve and looks like Jayhawks need a little upward help this year. Love Forever

Steve! Was one of the best story tellers. Today people don’t have much time or want to talk to the younger generation about the good old days. However Steve and the late Fred as well as Carlos have and had the knack to draw a crowd at the first word. I will never forget those times in front of the Law Office. He sure could make a person late for work and happy to do so. What a wonderful eye Steve had for the finer thing’s new or old. I remember asking at lest once a week (Thursdays) what did you find today Steve? He usually pulled some beautiful old watch, brooch, ring, ect. out of he pocket, not usually his keepsake but he always had a friend in mind for this wonderful gift. This wasn’t the best part, the SMILE of the KID that just found the mother load. was and still is the best part for me. We will all miss the

Ever so giving, fun loving, Happy go lucky, light up the room.

Friend! Sun! Brother! Man!

I remember our families visiting each other when we were younger and hanging around with Steve when I came home from the military in 1974 until I got married in 1978. I have a lot of good memories of being with Steve.

Steve and I met in the 7th grade at Hamilton Jr. High, we have been friends ever since. We lost track of each other in the years that followed jr. high, but we came back in contact when i involved with the law as a process server. He was truly a good friend and I will miss the little guy alot. He always told everyone we ran across that he was taller than I was in the 7th grade.

Steve, we will see each other again.

Steve was the extravert that introduced me to Wichita. I was pretty lonely and homesick for Tulsa in 1997 but because of him I met people and began to think that maybe Wichita wasn't such a bad place after all. He was such an exburant, generous and fun person-a social butterfly. I am grateful that he befriended me so many years ago and sad that he is gone. Melinda

I don’t think I have seen Stevie since 1963 when I graduated from Hamilton Junior High. But I had never forgot about him. I kind of stayed up with him through my brother Jack. When every I am in Wichita, I drive all the parts of town where I grew up. I drive out around Joyland and I think of Stevie in Junior High and Stevie at Joyland. I always remember his energy and his humor. Hearing about his passing away brings tears to my eyes and sadness to my heart.

I pray for his family. I think that what he brought to our world eases the pain of loosing him too soon.

God Bless you all,

I've known Steve since high school. He was always cheerful and was always kind to me. I've seen Steve in the last ten years around town and he always was glad to see me. He will be missed. My dad and he knew each other from both being attorneys here in Wichita. Dad thought a lot of Steve too. I know God will bless him in the next life.

This world is a sadder place without Steve. I will miss him. When I think back I realize I saw very little of him in our time here. I first met him over 40 years ago when we were just kids in school. Through family and friends I saw him from time to time and only a month ago met him by chance at Mike's restaurant on South Broadway. I didn't realize then how he was and I'm still surprised he's gone. Still I'm glad I got that one chance to meet him again. I hope we all remember his wit, humor, and charm. Goodbye Steve.
