As a young man I met Flower through my father who was good friends with him. I have very fond memories of him and remember doing shows at Joyland with him. I would climb into his exploding safe dressed as a gorilla and chase him. I remember going to his house and watch him shoot a rubber chicken out of a cannon. But the most memorable was when they paid the city of Wichita off with nickels after hitting Vern Miller with a whip cream pie. May you rest in peace.
