Steven Wisdom Obituary

Wisdom, Steven Steve, who was in the brokerage business for 35 years, suffered a major cardiac event while doing what he loved best - watching the Shockers! He passed peacefully on February 21, 2016. Steve attended WHS East, class of 1970 and is a WSU alumnus. Steve is survived by sister, Cheryl (Dave) Hill; Weiss siblings, Jay (Sharyn), Ruby, Jon (Darla), Laurie (John), Kurt; his father's wife, Patsy Wisdom; stepbrothers, Steve (Terri) Adams and Scott (Cindy) Askew; and more friends than one guy should be blessed with having. Brother Lee Weiss preceded him in death. Come help us celebrate the life of Wichita's biggest Shocker fan before the last game of the season at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at the Abode, 1330 E. Douglas. Wear your black and gold! Memorial contributions may be made to WSU Student Athletic Scholarship Organization (SASO), 1845 N. Fairmount, 67260-0018. Arrangements by Broadway Mortuary.

Steve, you made me laugh, and you made me cry. We have been through the best together and, we have endured the worst. Through it all, family is what made the difference. I miss you so much, TeeLee, and I love you.

Though I haven't seen Steve since the late 70's, he used to come to my home and just sit and talk. Very nice young man. My heart and prayers go out to your loved ones. You're going to be missed.

You always made me smile. I will always remember you from East, wearing a coral color long sleeve shirt with thin stripes with a white t-shirt under it. I don't know why I remember that, as well as your smile with your bright braces. Sending prayers to your family and asking for comfort during this very trying time.

Steve has been my buddy for many years. I will miss his great wit and humor. I have a favorite picture of Steve and my Dad together laughing and enjoying life shortly before Dad passed. Hope Dad and Steve can pick it up where they left off. We spoke with Steve every Shocker basketball game at half time. RIP Steve. You were loved!

Well, my old Sleepy Hollow buddy, I'll always think about you when I drive through the old neighborhood. It'll be strange rollin' along in life and cheering for the Shockers without you on the planet. Wichita town has lost a friend, as well. RIP, Ace pal. Love ya.

Great Shocker fan. Steve will be missed.

So many great memories... Italy 2006, trips for Shocker events, your visits to California, parties with friends, all the early morning breakfasts together, fun times at your home...and your play-by-play phone call reports after every game! We'll miss your laugh and warm hugs the most. You were "Brother Steve" to us. SHOX have lost their best fan and we've lost a member of our family. Love you always.
