Wichita, Kansas - Susan R Stember Tanner passed away peacefully on March 30th, 2024. Proceeded in death by her mother Ruth Stember, father Jim Stember both of Haysville, KS and brother, Larry Stember of Derby, KS. Survived by husband Jack Tanner of Wichita, three stepchildren, Stephanie Tanner and Husband Chris McGarey of Henderson, Nevada, Jacque Tanner Tarlton and husband Charles Tarlton of Miami, Florida and Lance Tanner and wife Laura Tanner of Seattle, Washington and daughter, Jamie Tanner of Wichita, KS and three grandchildren, Gabby Arma of Overland Park, KS, John Arma IV of Wichita, Kansas and Isaac Gardner of Wichita, KS. Sue was born on May 7th, 1949, in Dallas, Texas and moved to Haysville, KS as a small child. She attended Haysville schools and Graduated from Campus in spring of 1967. Sue spent most of her adult life working for the Sedgwick County Courthouse and retired in December of 2005. We are going to have a celebration of life on her birthday May 7th, 2024 from 1-4 p.m. at Golden Rod Park community facility located at 1340 S Pattie. Come and go as you please, casual dress, no alcohol allowed in park facility. Finger foods and refreshments will be served.

My sincere sympathy to Jack, (or "Jackson" as Sue would call him ) and their children and grandchildren. Sue was such a great friend and co-worker at the Courthouse. We even took a cruise together. Sue was such fun to be with. I have missed her so much over the years. Rest in peace sweet lady.
