ALBERT EUGENE HAYOB

Albert Eugene Hayob, 81, of Lee's Summit, Mo., died Tuesday, September 24, 2013, in the Cardiac Care Unit of Saint Luke's Hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1931, in Marshall, Mo., to Barney and Lillian Hayob. Al served in the Air Force during the Korean War, graduated from UCM and retired from McKesson in 1995. He loved gardening and sports, was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Margaret of Scotland Council. He was a lay minister of the church and of the sick at Lee's Summit Hospital and offered his services as a volunteer in numerous Church functions. Al is survived by his wife, Nancy Laber Hayob of 51 years, his daughter, Rebecca Russell (Randy) of Pleasant Hill, son, Jeffrey Hayob (Elaine) of Leawood, son, Bradley Hayob of Lee's Summit, four grandsons, Seth Orozco, Nicholas Hayob, Chance Russell (Miranda), and Chase Russell and two great grandsons, Corbin and Mason Russell. Rosary will be said at 5:30 p.m. and visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Lee's Summit. Also at the church will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27. A luncheon will follow the Mass. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Kansas City, Mo., with military honors.
