Alexander Charles Lawhon III.

Alex passed March 26, 2026 in Maryville, TN, after battling Leukemia for the last two years. Where he lived for the last 30 years with his wife Charlsie (Dot) Lawhon. Previously residing in Kokomo, IN, and retiring from Delco Electronics in Kokomo, IN, where they met and married. Eventually relocating to Maryville, TN. This is where Dot grew up and graduated. His first marriage was with Alice Letitia (Tish) Mower in Greentown, IN, around 1966 where they had two children, daughter Tracy Lee Lawhon and son Charles (Chuck) Alfred Lawhon. Prior to his living in Kokomo, IN, he spent four years in the Air Force with two of those years in Greenland, this was during the Vietnam war. Alex was very intelligent in his field of electronics and was chosen at Delco for a team.

He excelled in his tenure at Delco Electronics upon his retirement with a very nice retirement package. He graduated North Kansas City High School through his time in the Air Force.

Alex was born in Kansas City, MO. September 21, 1943 the third child of eight to Alexander Charles Lawhon, Jr., our father passed at the early age of 41 November 1960 and Julia Marie (Bishop) Lawhon passed September 1977 both of cancer. He had two older Brothers now deceased Donald Lee Lawhon born Dec. 22, 1940 passed November 2021 of cancer, and Charles Ray Lawhon born March 12, 1942, killed in Vietnam May 6, 1966. Then he lost a younger Brother John Mark Lawhon born September 22, 1948 passed of cancer August 2002. Sister Diane Louise (Lawhon) Rose born August 29, 1947 passed February 2, 2015 of cancer.

Alex was a very proud and loving person especially toward his Family. He is dearly missed by his children Tracy Lawhon San Diego, CA. Chuck Lawhon Englewood, TN, and his two remaining brothers Bruce (B.J.) Lawhon, Barb, Woodrow (Woody) Patti Los Angeles, CA and one sister Sherry (Lawhon) Caskey KC, MO. and all of his nephews and nieces.

Per Alex's request cremation and his ashes to his selected family member, and he requested no memorial service.
