ANNA CLOSSON Obituary

Anna Marjorie Closson, 87, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday August 30, 2010 at South Crysler Community of Christ, 3100 S. Crysler Ave., Independence, MO 64056. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. Entombment in Mound Grove Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church. Anna was born January 17, 1923 in Clifton Hill, MO to Lloyd E. and Ora Alberta (Fidler) Thompson. Mrs. Closson taught elementary school until she started her family in 1956. Anna was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She fed and loved her family well. Mrs. Closson enjoyed sewing and gardening roses and snap dragons. Anna wrote her sister Virginia weekly letters throughout life. She was an active and faithful member of the church along with her husband Robert. Anna is survived by her granddaughters Marjorie May, Dr. Malia May; daughter Mary Beth Closson; special niece Terri DeRouse; and by a host of other loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert Closson in '05; and by her sister and brother.
