BARBARA CAROL FOWLER

Barbara Carol Fowler, 76 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at Centerpoint Medical Center. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m., until the memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Barbara was born June 18, 1936 in Sydney, AR to W.J. and Faye (Findley) Westmoreland. She graduated from public schools and attended the Drawns Business College in Springfield, MO with a degree in accounting. She had worked for over 35 years as an accountant for Sunderland Accounting until her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed reading and spending time with friends and family at Lake Lotawana. She was a member of Rockwood Baptist Church. She is survived by; her loving husband of 53 years, Don Fowler of the home; 2 sons, Donald L. Fowler and wife Carrol of St. Petersburg, FL and Ron Fowler of Blue Springs, MO; a brother, John M. Westmoreland of Sherwood, AR and 4 grandchildren, Michael L. Fowler, Nicholas H. Fowler, Ryan W. Fowler and Jeffrey M. Fowler.
