Brett Walton Obituary

Brett Walton
July 22, 1999 - December 17, 2022
Kansas City, Missouri - Brett Jonathon Walton, 23, of Kansas City, Missouri, departed his earthly home for a better one on December 17, 2022. Brett was born on July 22, 1999, at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. He came into the world bigger than all the others in the nursery and continued to live his life the same. Brett was a uniquely magnificent person that made anyone laugh who was around him. His personality was infectious. He lived his life on his terms and with no regrets. There was always a new perspective with Brett that taught many around him a new way of looking at the world. If you knew Brett, you won't ever forget him (and he enjoyed that). After earning his High School diploma, Brett proudly attended Drury University in Monett, Missouri with stellar grades.
Brett's favorite place in this world was Kansas City, Missouri, however, he bled silver and black as his love for the Raiders knew no bounds even though they continue to lose. He always got a kick out of being rivals to his mom and dad who are Chiefs fans. Brett's old soul for music and lead guitar, mirrored his grandfather, who was also a blues man. Brett's extensive play list included many lyrical poets such as, Tupac, Easy E, NWA, Biggie Smalls, Ice Cube to music from Kurt Cobain. Brett loved Batman and took an interest in comic books and attended several Comicon events. He always told everyone that he was Batman, and he would always defend Gotham, much like he defended his family. If you messed with his mama, he would come for you.
Brett was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rita Elam, Gary D. Walton, Wanda Plumlee, and Bill Plumlee. Brett is survived by his mother, Lana Plumlee of Lockwood, Missouri; his father, Gary J. Walton of Kansas City, Missouri; his brothers, Kavan Ply of Springfield, Missouri and Jackson Walton of Overland Park, Kansas; his sisters, Kelsey Ritter of Burlingame, Kansas and Nikki Ritter of Shawnee, Kansas; and grandfather, Walter Taylor of Lee's Summit, Missouri. Brett adored his young niece, Kaidence and nephew, Elijah.
The impact of this young life lost is unbearable to fathom and has left his family vanquished. His absence leaves a void that will never be filled. We will love you until our last breath.
"BLRRRRRRRDDDDDDDD!" (as Brett would say).
