CATHERYN GEISSLER Obituary

Catheryn Lucille Geissler, Overland Park, KS passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013. She was born August 18, 1926 in Omaha, NE the daughter of Lucille and Gail Bennett. Catheryn attended Hastings College, in Hastings, NE, and Omaha University in Omaha, NE. She was employed as an Executive Secretary in Omaha for eleven years. Catheryn was united in marriage to Wilfred W. Geissler on May 15, 1955. They shared over 45 years of marriage before the passing of Mr. Geissler on June 21, 2000. She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Overland Park, KS. Catheryn was active for several years in the International Twin Association; Volunteered for Johnson County Community College; Volunteered at Overland Park Medical Hospital and Volunteered at Hospice. Mrs. Geissler was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred and her Twin sister, Carolyn Bennett who passed away in 2010. Catheryn leaves behind a son, Dr. William Bennett Geissler and wife Susan of Jackson, Mississippi; a daughter Gale Walker and husband Larry, of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grand-children; one great- grandson; and her sister, Diana Rickard of Omaha, Nebraska. A private family service will be held at D.W. Newcomer's & Sons Johnson County Chapel. Entombment will follow at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens Indoor Mausoleum.
