David Goodspeed Obituary

David Paul Goodspeed, age 50, of Gladstone, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2008 at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Grain Valley, MO. Visitation will be held 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at "Jackson County Veteran's Field of Honor" in Swan Lake Memorial Park, Grain Valley, MO. David was born January 11, 1958 in Kansas City, KS, and went to Oak Park High School, Mr. Goodspeed served his country honorably in the Air Force, retiring in 1994, and served as Cub Scout Master, a youth pastor and was a professional Santa Claus. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Goodspeed; and grandparents, Neva and Earl Kopp. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Deborah; sons, Joshua and Jeremiah; granddaughters, Kylie and Daphni; biological father, Ronald Chaney; adopted father, Ernest Goodspeed; brothers, Mike, Steve and Tom; and sister, Debbie.
