I first met Dave in the late 60's early 70's in Kansas City. I had no idea that he was an artist and I thought he was just another biker. We had a friend in common and when Dave started doing the ER centerfolds, my (our) friend pointed out that Dave Mann was OUR Dave Mann. What a thrill for a guy from a small town, I had touched elbows with a legend. His work has inspired me for over 30 years and he will be greatly missed.

All things are impermanent, and all things must die. We all know this. David would have not resented having had to leave his body, and we ALL can help him now by sponsoring practices and doing good actions in his name.He will be happy and relaxed, so please dont be sad. Remember grief is a wound, and natural,so give to him so that grief is not. Respectfully Merv F

To the family and friends of David Mann.

We, at the National Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame, in Anamosa, IA are honored to have inducted David into our Hall of Fame this past March. From telephone conversations with David, it was evident that he was deeply appreciative to be recognized for his artistic talents, through which he portrayed the essence of the motorcycle lifestyle.

David's passion of this lifestyle will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Dave,

I'M REALLY going to miss that laugh of yours.

A few of us, at the "Beachcomber Tavern" and "The Shores", were just reminiscing about you riding your Bike through "The Shores" (I can't think of another soul that could have gotten away with that.)

I feel very fortunate to have known such a wonderful and talented man.

I'm really going to miss you!!!

At least I will always have the memories of You and Jaquie and the good old days.

"Thanks for the Memories"

I'll see you again on the other side.

You see people riding all the time. You talk with them and they don't have a clue as to what it was like to ride years ago in a different time or era, when Harleys were not only not as reliable but not as popular. Daves drawings in easyrider always inspired me because of the detail. What is more important though is that the scenes he depicted were REAL. They were scenes I took part in, enjoyed and still remember. To a brother who understood, you will be greatly missed. BigMike
